The Ready Made Garments sector is making one of the highest incomes for the country. Of total, 60% female workers contribute to the sector with minimum income capability. While hygienic practices of menstruation in terms of access to appropriate sanitation and affordable menstrual kits is very low, one can simply imagine how the situation in the garment sector. Many reports have shown the sanitation facility is not up to the standards as well as this huge number of female workers suffer menstrual taboo in the workplace. Campaign RED has started collaborating with employers and owner of these garment factories to discuss with women about hygienic practices as wells make aware the employers about their responsibility of providing supportive environment for women at the workplace.
